The Powerful Savagery of the Fantasy Werewolf

One type of monster that draws people in due to both their physical appearance and brute power is that of the fantasy werewolf. Indeed, this monster is considered one of the genre’s representatives since it does something entirely different than the others. It is the personification of raw, untamed power that can lead to devastating effects if left uncontrolled.
The reason why the werewolf is popular is because of its appearance. It is a mix of man and beast, coming in two entirely different forms. The magic of this creature is that those who have this gene can transform from one to another, though it is usually against their will. When it transforms, it becomes far more feral in appearance as more hair pops up on the body and muscles rip through the clothes.
The fantasy werewolf is dangerous in that it can tap into an enormous wealth of powers. For instance, it can bite people which can potentially cause them to become fellow werewolves. Evil ones abuse this power to bite as many people as possible in order to turn them into werewolves so that they can gain more followers and increase the power they wield in the wolf community.
When it comes to the world, the werewolf is not to be minced with. Only those equipped to deal with such threats ought to fight it since it can easily destroy a small town either by biting or wreaking havoc on buildings. Since it is a nocturnal animal, it attacks when the majority of people are safely asleep in their beds, meaning the nighttime guards have to pay close attention to who they let in.

The Feral Appearance of the Fantasy Werewolf
The werewolf is a common monster of the genre, appearing in media such as graphic novels or movies. Its terrifying physical appearance evokes a sense of fear in the audience since it is considered to be the personification of pure power which it won’t hesitate to use at will.
The fantasy werewolf takes on two forms: the human and wolf. In the former, it looks just like any one as long as the full moon isn’t out. Its human side is the one it uses the most, allowing it to live a normal life. Why, in a bustling town, people could walk past a human werewolf and never know it!
On the wolf side, it is larger than its four-legged counterparts. Appearing only when the full moon is out, it sports a heavier body, a more pronounced jawline, and more fangs than the others. It takes aspects of its human body and converts them to match those of its wolfish side which is why when it encounters real wolves, they are suspicious of it at first since they recognize something in them that they know doesn’t exist in their kind.
In some stories, the fantasy werewolf, when transformed, only has two legs instead of the four. This bipedal monster essentially becomes a fusion of the two, what with visible swaths of thick hair on its body, from its arms all the way down to its feet. Whatever clothes it had on when it transformed are torn asunder since they are too small for it. Its muscles tear through it like butter.
The face of a werewolf in this state is more wolf than man. Its wolfish nose enables it to quickly sniff out any unusual aromas and its razor-sharp fangs can shred anything in a number of seconds but its eyes are what makes it truly terrifying. They are full of a cold, senseless rage that strikes fear in people’s hearts and make them flee for their lives.
The Powers the Fantasy Werewolf Possesses
The appearance of the werewolf conceals the sheer, raw power it contains. This beast is one of the most dangerous, especially when it goes on a rampage and leaves a trail of destruction in its wake. When in its wolf form, it makes extensive use of its powers and won’t hesitate to attack anything it deems a threat.
Out of the powers the fantasy werewolf has, its bite is one of its top and most used. It can sink its teeth in just about anything but that isn’t its only purpose. When it bites someone, it has the potential of turning that person into a werewolf though this only occurs when it is fully transformed and when the full moon is out.
Once the werewolf goes on a rampage, it loses all sense of reason and goes on a wreaking spree. Its claws slash windows and wood, its teeth rips apart furniture and pictures, and it can use its great body strength to topple heavy furniture. The buildings it enters when on a rampage looks like a war zone with debris scattered all over.
One of its greatest powers is its ability to run at an astonishingly fast speed. The fantasy werewolf taps into its body to make it move as swiftly as the wind, running on its legs. It can dart through a neighborhood in a number of minutes, leaving nothing but dust swirling behind it. It uses its speed to target and pounce upon foes from a distance away and deal with them with relative ease.
The werewolf can communicate with other animals since it understands them. Sometimes it emerges as the leader of a wolf pack and when it is fully transformed, it’ll summon it to assist it when attacking a community. It howls as if calling the others and they’ll come right away. They’ll launch a coordinated effort and cause carnage in the areas they hit before they move elsewhere.
The Threat the Fantasy Werewolf Poses
There’s a reason why the werewolf is considered one of the most dangerous creatures of the genre. It is a vicious beast that shows no mercy to its victims and has a difficult time distinguishing between friend and foe when in wolf form. Whenever there is one in the area, people are strongly encouraged to be vigilant and avoid contact at all costs.
The number one threat the fantasy werewolf poses is the potential to turn someone else into another werewolf. It does so through biting though the chances of this happening only exist when it is fully transformed. People who are bitten by one during this period must seek medical attention immediately where doctors or other practitioners can do what they need to do to prevent the person from becoming one.
Possessing great body strength, the werewolf can take a fully intact building and leave it in a broken, destroyed state. It shatters glass windows, leaves deep slash marks on the walls and doors, sends papers flying all over, and causes catastrophic damage to electronics like televisions and computers. There is nothing inside the building that is impervious to werewolf damage.
The fantasy werewolf is full of vim and vigor under the light of the full moon. At a time when people are safely ensconced in their beds, having pleasant dreams, this beast roams the world, seeking destruction and flesh. The nighttime guards must pay close attention to their surroundings, especially on such perilous nights, lest a werewolf sneak through and rouse people from their peaceful slumber.
Many stories and worlds feature the werewolf in some capacity. Some serve as the major antagonist whereas others are relegated to a secondary. Most of them depict it as an evil monster, one not to be trifled with. There are a number of great stories that can be told using this beast which is why you ought to bring it into your own!
