Today is a special day in American history. It isn’t just your run-of-the-mill birthday but it’s America’s 250th birthday. And it is one we all ought to celebrate in the best way possible but we also shouldn’t forget why this day exists in the first place.
Without our Founding Fathers who put their lives on the line to fight Britain in the Revolutionary War, American wouldn’t exist. We honor them by continuing to carry on what they fought for: freedom. For 250 years now, generations of Americans have carried on that banner proudly and it’s our turn to continue that legacy so that those who come after us can enjoy the same freedoms we have.
On America’s 250th birthday, it’s important to look back and see all the great things this country’s done over these two and a half centuries. We created products and technologies that became widespread all over the world, won two World Wars, landed on the moon, among other magnificent feats. All these came as a result of American hardworking and ingenuity.
This country wouldn’t be where it is now without generations of people like you who worked hard to make it the best place to live in the world. People who wanted a good life for themselves and dreamed of living in a free country where they could do what they dreamed of doing and working hard to make it happen.
There are many fantastic way to celebrate this most special day. The majority of Americans will do so by participating in various ways, all of which we have done for decades and centuries now. Lighting and watching fireworks is number one and there’s a reason for that.
There is nothing more quintessentially American than reveling in the majesty of fireworks and you can bet that this year, many will go all out to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. They will enjoy their favorite beverage and delight in watching colorful lights illuminate the star-lit skies. There’ll certainly be loud noises.
Besides watching the fireworks, Americans will feast upon standard Independence Day fare: burgers, hot dogs, and fries. You can’t go wrong with eating them! There’s nothing better than sinking your teeth into them and savoring all their juicy flavors. After eating them, sweets such as apple pie or funnel cakes taste even better!
We also attend parades and this year’s display ought to be outstanding, commemorating this impressive milestone. They are symbols of love and affection for the country and it is people’s way of showing how much they care about America.
On America’s 250th birthday, celebrate it the best way you know how and have a blast doing it, for it’ll be something you’ll cherish for the rest of your life!
Have a great Independence Day!
Until the next time,
Sunfire
