A New Year, A Broad Overview of Viernor’s Plans for 2026

Goodbye 2025, Hello 2026!
With 2025 now in the history books, it’s time to turn our gaze upon the new year of 2026. This year will mark three years since the website went live which is hard to believe. My how time flies by when you’re having fun and enjoying what you’re doing at the same time!
In our last article, we looked back at the year that just ended which is always advantageous since you have to compare how things went right from the beginning. With this article officially serving as the first of the new year, it’s the perfect opportunity to start making an overview of what objectives to pursue throughout 2026.
Though last year was a stellar year for Viernor in terms of both the traffic growth and fantastic number of articles, all of which can be found on our blog page, many of the goals we pursued will stay the same. If you read last year’s, you’ll see that not a whole lot has changed since then.
2025 saw a smorgasbord of articles that ranged from magic to time travel. Those, plus the ones from the previous years, are bite-sized pieces of the colossal puzzle known as worldbuilding. Creating a fantasy world from scratch is no mean feat but it should be something you enjoy doing!
This is your passion project which means you’ll put everything you have into it whether your world is set in an gothic medieval era or ancient times. However, it can be daunting trying to think of where to start and that’s where Viernor comes in.
Charting Viernor’s Main Aims for 2026
Now that we’re in 2026, it’s a great time to look at the goals we set last year to see if we should continue pursuing them or go in another direction. There is one overarching goal which is split into 3 smaller but significant objectives. The goals from last year will remain and Viernor will continue working towards them.
The main goal of the website is to strive to be in a better position at the end of the year than where it stands today. 2025 was great for Viernor in that regard and we hope to do even better in 2026!
One of the three key goals is to continue writing articles and creating the artwork. This is one of Viernor’s most fundamental aims. The purpose of each article is to shed some light in the grand endeavor of worldbuilding so that you can focus on what matters at hand: bringing your imaginary world to life! We recognize that there’s a lot to do which is why our articles are designed to break the whole process into smaller, more manageable parts so you can work on one part at a time. The artwork used in each article encapsulates what it’s about so expect to see that continue.
The second driving goal of 2026 is to continue refining the website. With how rapid technology changes, Viernor continuously works to keep up-to-date on these changes since they can affect how you get around the site. We want to make navigating it as seamless as possible so that you can quickly find what you’re looking for!
A website cannot grow if it doesn’t generate more traffic when compared to the year before. This leads us to the third key goal which is to attract more eyeballs to Viernor. There are still many people out there who want to get started on building their dream world to fruition out there but still are unsure of where to begin. The more people who know about Viernor, the more they can bring their dream to life!
Going after these goals helped Viernor get to where it is today and will also make it even better than it is now!
Pursuing the Dream of Building Your Fantasy World in 2026
With these key aims outlined, it’s time to get to work. With enough hard work and perseverance, you can make your dreams come true no matter what you do. With Viernor, that dream is to take everything about worldbuilding and break it down into bite-sized pieces so that you can breathe life into that idea you’ve had kicking around in your head for some time now and focus on one part at a time.
